Thursday Poll: Do You Have a Home Phone?

A little over a year ago, we tried to find out how many of you still own a home phone and subscribe to home phone service. At the time, 35% of you still did! We asked because Google had just announced its new Fiber Phone, which seemed silly even if it was a modernized take on the home phone. This week, though, Google is back with an even more modern version of the home phone – Google Home.
That’s right, for those who missed the news, you can now place calls with your Google Home (more details) for free to businesses and your personal contacts using your voice. No additional hardware is required, you just need to have the latest software update that is rolling out now. While you can’t take inbound calls yet, Google has essentially setup their smart home speaker as the future of home phones.
So we thought we’d ask again as the topic is relevant once more. Do you still have a home phone? If so, I’d love to know why.
