Gear VR Gets Chromecast Streaming Before Google’s Daydream

gear vr chromecastBack at Google I/O, Google announced that its Daydream VR platform would gain Chromecast streaming of VR sessions with the update to Daydream 2.0 later this year. Today, Oculus and Samsung scooped Google a bit by announcing that Chromecast streaming is already ready for its Gear VR platform.
With the latest version of the Oculus app on your supported Galaxy device, you should now see a Cast button towards the top right corner (image above). A simple tap on that button, followed by the selection of the device you want to Cast to, will get you into a VR-sharing session. It should be that simple.
If you see the update rolling out, let us know!
