AT&T GoPhone Now Offers $60 “Unlimited” Plan, 6GB Plan for $40

ATT GoPhoneAT&T introduced two new prepaid GoPhone plans today, one with unlimited data and another with 6GB of data. The unlimited plan is very much like the Unlimited Choice plan that was offered to regular AT&T customers a couple of week back, which is the nice way of me saying you’ll want no part of it if you like downloading things in a hurry.
The unlimited plan runs $60 per month as long as you sign-up for autopay. According to an AT&T press release, the plan includes unlimited data usage, but all of the data is slowed to just 3Mbps at all times. On top of that, your video streams will always stream at no higher than 480p and you’ll potentially be slowed further should you use more than 22GB of data in a month.
On a related note, AT&T added a 6GB plan to the GoPhone line-up that costs just $40 after autopay. With this plan, you get full 4G LTE speeds for that first 6GB, but will then see speeds drop to 128Kbps should you attempt to use more. That’s exactly how their current 8GB and 4GB plans work, although we’re assuming this plan is replacing that old 4GB plan.
The new plans are supposed to go live today. Once that happens, we’ll be sure to update this post with any additional details (like what their prices are without autopay).
You can sign-up for AT&T GoPhone here.
