LG will unveil the G6 on February 26 at MWC Barcelona

LG has sent out media invites for an event that will take place on February 26 in Barcelona, a day before Mobile World Congress (MWC) officially kicks off. The invite shows a silhouette of a smartphone along with the “See More, Play More” tagline, which is consistent with rumors that LG will unveil the G6 smartphone.
We assume the tagline means that the upcoming flagship from LG will have a larger display when compared with its predecessor, the G5. The South Korean company has already confirmed that the G6 will feature a 5.7-inch QHD+ screen with 18:9 aspect ratio. That’s the exact aspect ratio of the image in the invite. Other specs haven’t been confirmed yet, but the company did release a video about a week ago that hints at some of the features we can expect to see on the upcoming G6 smartphone.

These include a compact and waterproof body, reliability as well as “capture it all at once” which we assume has something to do with the camera. Other rumors also suggest that the device will sport the Snapdragon 835 chipset, 6 GB of RAM, a dual camera setup, wireless charging, and the latest version of Android with LG’s user interface on top. If you want to know more about the device, check out our “LG G6: all the rumors in one place” post.
In addition to the G6, the company might also announce a couple of new smartwatches at its MWC event, although this obviously hasn’t been confirmed yet. Two LG smartwatches have recently passed through the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), so there is a chance that the tech giant will officially announce them alongside its latest smartphone.
