Instagram has just announced a complete visual overhaul of its Android and iOS applications. Not only is the photo sharing app getting a redesigned layout, it’s also finally getting a newer, simpler app icon.The differences between the old and new app icons are pretty stark. You can still tell its a camera, but the new icon is much simpler and more colorful than the old one. Instagram’s other apps — Layout, Boomerang and Hyperlapse — are also getting redesigned icons with the same style.The app itself, not just the icon, is getting a number of visual tweaks as well. Navigation throughout the app is staying the same for the most part, and it now features a mostly black and white color scheme.
