Announced by T-Mobile’s go-to “gadget guy” on Twitter, owners of the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge will be receiving the Nougat update on their devices this week. With the update, you’ll find all of the standard Nougat goodness, such as enhanced notifications, improved app permissions, better Doze, plus changes to the overall user interface. It should help make that aging device feel a bit newer, for sure.
Also, considering that there are probably thousands of S6 and S6 Edge owners on T-Mobile, maybe this update will help Nougat get a bit closer to Marshmallow or even Lollipop on the Android Distribution chart. We won’t hold our breath.
