These 2017 and 2018 Chevrolet cars are getting Android Auto

Select models of Chevy and Vauxhall cars are confirmed to be getting Android Auto in 2017 and 2018.

That’s right, the useful heads-up display software is expanding to more and more models. Here are the newly supported cars:

2017 Aveo
2017 Bolt EV
2017 Colorado/S10
2017 Cruze Hatchback
2017 Onix
2017 Prisma
2017 Sonic
2017 Trailblazer
2017 Trax
2018 Equinox
2018 Traverse
2017 Vauxhall Ampera-e
2017 Vauxhall Crossland X

Android-powered built-in infotainment systems (and their AppleCar equivalents) have been met with mixed reactions. Some say you shouldn’t have anything to distract you because your focus should be 100% on the road. Others say it’s a handy feature to safely navigate around town – miles better than a driver who has no idea where they are going.
But now that Android Auto has a standalone app, is it critical to have it built into the dash anymore? Of course, it is nice to have car statistics on the screen as well, like low tire pressure or check engine light codes, but it is a lot of money to shell out when you could simply get a phone mount and get more or less the same thing.
